It's about time we got back into nuclear

The Biden administration appears to be picking up where former President Donald Trump left off as the federal agency that oversees U.S. nuclear research and bomb-making has approved the first design phase for a multibillion-dollar project to manufacture key components for the nation’s nuclear arsenal.

Oh. Missiles, not energy. Well okay, but gibs powerplants too.

Democratic members of New Mexico’s congressional delegation have supported production at Los Alamos because of the billions of dollars in federal funding and thousands of jobs that are at stake.

Government is not a jobs program. While there are plenty of good reasons to make sure the nuclear stockpile is healthy, "thousands of jobs" is not one of them.

Government is not a jobs program.

It certainly has been for the last 50 years. See the bloated defense budget, military contractors, etc.

The natural question is what we could get instead with this money.

Do you want a nuclear war? That's how you get a nuclear war. And here Democrats were warning us about Trump...

what?

*keeps a stockpile of nuclear weapons for 75 years, suddenly this generation is going to cause a war?

I hope younger generations see the hypocrisy that happens every 4 or 8 years when power changes. If you've been around for any amount of time and have the slightest instincts for integrity, it is very off putting and certainly enough to avoid supporting these two-faced political parties.

They don't. And they won't, not until they realize that they're never getting their flying unicorn that poops rainbow glitter ice cream.
