I think they like unwanted babies much more in the bigger picture... good way to produce a population of troubled, uneducated consumers/workers/prisoners.

Abortion is not an ideal solution, but it's useful. It'd be better if free contraception was made available everywhere without restrictions.
Failing that, AND failing to execute rapists out-of-hand, abortion becomes the next best thing.
