After a very thorough dusting. I've replaced the PSU with my new fully modular one. Worked on some cable management with my new wraps. And am currently installing the new replacement fans/led kit I got.

Meanwhile I'm really starting to feel like cracking a beer and playing some C&C.

Update. Cable management sucks balls.

Yeah but opening that case and having no wires in the way (and no cables to block air flow) is an amazing experience. I built my latest computer in... September, I think. In like February (?) the PSU bricked itself. I didn't have the diagnostic tools to make sure so I took it into a local shop. They confirmed and replaced the brick. They said I did a good job on running the cables but "We're gonna do better." Hey, man, you wanna rerun all those cables and make it all tight like a virgin, you go right ahead.

They did a great job. Nothing is in the way, cables were replaced and/or rerun, yadda yadda.

Cable management isn't for snobs.

Ah a bricked PSU is the worst. That happened with my first build in 2019. It booted like 3 times then nothing. After all the other problems I had with doing my first build (including a dead power button on the case) I gave up and took it a shop.

Management in this case with the dual side panels is an absolute bitch, there's nowhere to hide anything.

I'm building a emulation station on a Raspberry Pi in an NES case. I've converted the controllers to bluetooth and they fit in the cartridge rack beautifully. I've wired up the original controller ports to the Pi only to find that the Player 1 port had some problems and had to replace it. I literally just got done soldering 8 tiny little short wires for that. You wanna talk about annoying...

That's awesome man. You should definitely make a post when you finish it.
