We spent north of $10k USD on a cruise of the Baltic Sea with a lot of ports, including 2 days in St. Petersburg and before and after cruise visits to other countries. Glorious.

Our table mates on the cruise were fun to be with, so that, with the food, made for wonderful evenings. Found many great places to eat and drink, including The Brazen Head in Dublin and Paper Island in Copenhagen. Toured the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg and a church built out a boulder.

I don't fish. The places we found most interesting were Ireland and Denmark, so we're going on extended trips just for those places. Ireland was full of history, some of it recent. Denmark seemed more like they embraced the future, and Copenhagen was large and modern, without going crazy like Seattle.
