MS took a different approach with Visual Studio starting in 2015 i think where they just let it crash silently and auto restart it to hide the fact that it crashes fucking constantly when doing any serious development. it definitely is a better experience than the "autodetect problems for you" approach

OK, but first let me search an vast and worthless database for a solution to this problem. When I don't find it, I'll restart the application so it can once again crash and we can have this lovely conversation later.
