This has been a major issue in every state that has legalized recreational pot. Lawmakers see dollar signs in how much they could potentially make. Meanwhile they don't listen to the facts that if you over price or over complicate things when compared to the black market, then there's little incentive for the majority of people to do such.

I was shocked that CA would do something that made sense, then I saw this:

A bill was introduced Monday in the California legislature that would give legal cannabis businesses a temporary tax break to help them better compete with the underground market.

Temporary? Until when, the cartels stop selling? Then, once they aren't as good an option, raise the tax again then bring back the illegal trade?

I remember when a 40 sack was a 40 sack............ Tax free and it didn't "fund terrorism"(Like uncle sam would harp) but a dude nick named after a Japanese dish that lived down the street haha

What does $40 get you legally? A joint full of shake? haha

I haven't been part of that scene in over 13 years

I was told that the legalisation and taxation of weed would raise so much money while putting gangs out of business. No?

OP- "I'm just trying to find a place that will let me post freely. I'm not going to post anything even remotely political because an internet mafia will attack me personally(then quickly ban me) vs attacking my non-facts with facts......."
