Err, what’s wrong with 91 octane? I’ve never had a vehicle that didn’t run well on it. They all called for 87, but 91 only ran better not worse. I don’t do it all the time because I had to reason to pay the premium, but sometimes.

Well, supply and demand, I think the US still block trade and expect every other country to follow up, as with Iran. So Venezuela has lots of oil, but not enough food. About a year ago they had lot's of crude oil, but no gasoline. Looks like it's hard to run an embargoed country.
Cringe. But I think they have higher tolerance (and therefore lower efficiency) cars there.
