I've enjoyed watching most of the YT Everest videos. Good stuff. One of those things I'd never do myself, but I admire those with the will.

I'd love to hike around the Himalayas, but I'll pass on Everest too. I go hiking to enjoy nature and have some solitude. Everest doesn't seem enjoyable, plus it's full of trash, which would annoy me. I think it's more for thrill seekers than anything. That and bragging rights.

I always thought the most interesting facts was all the bodies abandoned there. They're even used as trail markers along the way. Morbid, but it is what it is.

That 1996 disaster was something else. I've read a bit about it and the movie Everest is good too. What a thing to survive and then die on some damn stairs.
