While I agree with the premise of not involving police, until I have immunity from executing justice on my own land without someone else calling the police I will still have to call them. I've already been warned by my local sheriff that I will be under extreme scrutiny for drawing a weapon on my property, being a vet. Really makes me feel safe knowing they have the welfare of the local meth heads in mind over my own families safety.

two black friends meeting at a Starbucks

Who were loitering and refused to leave. No bias here.

So we going to pull a job on that church? I'm sure they something worth stealing.

My thoughts exactly. Unless the church matrons will be armed with shotguns

“We once had a street person who needed mental health care and wouldn't leave,”...

According to current guidelines, church members would not call police if such a situation arose again. In lieu of police services, the church has secured a $10,000 grant to train its members and other community groups on de-escalation tactics and self-defense.

It's an interesting concept - and I wonder exactly what they're allowed to do when attempting to remove someone as above. I hope we find a follow-up on how they went in a few months time.
