Kushner does have way too much influence over Trump already. The Kushner/Christie feuding really showed that, especially with how public Christie was with his support for Trump throughout the primaries and general election. I'm not a fan with how cozy he is with Murdoch, and IIRC Trump recently started talking positively about Murdoch.
It will be interesting to see if this appointment ends up being challenged.
