They are claiming that it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to release existing records to the public? Who are you paying ten million dollars a year to do your IT? I'll get into your computers and throw it all up on Youtube for $1000. There. Saved the State of Nevada hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Nevada Supreme Court, if anyone was wondering. This order will only be effective if state police or the hotels themselves still have a copy of the footage.
Unless the Supreme Court of the US orders it, the FBI is not required to do anything of the sort.
Edit: Apparently they're talking about police bodycam video and 911 calls only. I seriously doubt there will be much of anything, but I'm still interested to see what comes of it.
