They are claiming that it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to release existing records to the public? Who are you paying ten million dollars a year to do your IT? Nevada Supreme Court, if anyone was wondering. This order will only be effective if state police or the hotels themselves still have a copy of the footage.
Unless the Supreme Court of the US orders it, the FBI is not required to do anything of the sort.
Edit: Apparently they're talking about police bodycam video and 911 calls only. I seriously doubt there will be much of anything, but I'm still interested to see what comes of it.
