I can't say that would be a terrible thing. The shale oil/gas industry would start back up in my area and there would suddenly be a lot more jobs. Fuel prices would rise, but not beyond a certain point once the machines get tooled and rolling. It saved us before, it will save us again. We'd have to grin and bear it for a while, though.
