eh, any civilians still under isis control better have a damn good reason. the vast majority of them have been a short distance from surrendering to the powers that be for a year or more. its their own fault at this point.

The Syrian government has been detaining and torturing some of the civilians fleeing the conflict zones. How would you even get out? If the area is completely surrounded, you're going to be trapped in a kind of circle, where fighting is happening all around the perimeter. If you have a family, you might just take your chances staying where you are, and waiting for a ceasefire.

The article says that 60% of the civilian deaths from the three-year war was reported in the first three months of the Trump administration. Just three months!
