After 13 years, I didn't expect much, but I thought they would do better than this.
Don't take my word for it, give it a listen. It sort of sounds like a more polished Tool, but in a bad way. And the synthesizer sounds horrible. Yes, synthesizer.

A polished doesn't always mean better, it probably just means it spent far more time in the producer's and sound editor's hands than in the artist's hands

From what I have heard over the years is that they have been working for a long time. I suspect they over thought it, have gotten old, and didn't take enough magic mushrooms.
