I'd like to hear Simon's story. Looking up past articles it's always an interview with Garfunkel and there's often a dig at Simon. He has speculated that Simon is "insecure" about his height, that Simon "always wants to be the center of attention," and called Simon an idiot and a jerk. It makes me wonder if there's some projection going on.

Right. It's unlikely anything he could say would help him (in a PR sense) in any way, so just ignoring it is probably the best option.
