Yea that perspective definitely needs some looking at, or some context. I'm sure you could totally post that picture and get away with calling it a sub to some non-military folk. Like me, I most likely would never have assumed otherwise.
Being a carpenter, I immediately noticed it wasn't straight from tip to tip so besides the title of the thread, I would have dismissed it as a sub straight away.
It soon will be a submersible vehicle.
My still sleeping brain saw the word submarine and then spent 15 mins staring at the photo tying to figure out how people would fit in something so flat.
Eventually I concluded that the sub must have imploded, and originally been wider.
I'm not going to say how much longer until I realized it was a plane.
