Voat’s primary credit card processor has decided, for reasons unknown, to discontinue their relationship with Voat. While they did claim that it was due to “risk”, I can only speculate as to the reasons.

I wouldn't be surprised if this actually was the reason. It's not like Voat has any real solid constant revenue plans, basically it's been hemmoraging cash.

A credit card processor doesn't care about the long term viability of a business plan. They get paid per transaction and by an account fee.

You can't exactly claim there are other motives going on when the site has never made a single penny of profit. I think the conspiracy theorists might be getting to him.

I wouldn't rule out that the SaneGoat group has been pushing for that, now that their main account has run into negative CCP restrictions.

It would be easy to hide some skimming in the vague transparency statements.

Well Voat is dead. Had an okayish run. So sad.

Edit: Looks like they might be getting altcoins set up there. Nvm.
