Imagine a fence just about nose height where you have to lift up your head slightly to see over it. When you do this you can feel your spine straighten, arse pull in and your chest go out without looking like you're trying to puff your chest out. You'll also have to lift your eyes up from the ground and are far more likely to make eye contact with people. Some people teach breathing in through the nose and 'blowing up the stomach balloon' to get the same posture.
Ok now while you're peering over the fence, start to walk and it might feel awkward at first but first thing you will notice is your shoulders will roll more with your gait and you'll tend to put down your foot flatter rather than heel first. Overall you should find it easier to walk like this unless you have some condition. Looking at someone do this from a distance you will see a natural swagger rather than the jailbird strut you see a lot of bogans people do which is just lifting your knees up.
If you try this, remember to smile with your mouth and eyes or people will think you're a snob because another name for it is looking down your nose at someone.
Apparently this is taught in deportment schools and in some elite athletic clubs for media training. If this works for you, you can also use it as a physical trigger to bring on feelings of confidence.
