Nice!
How was the game? The Red Wings beat Boston tonight!
It was good, as a Penguins fan--it wasn't so good for the Sabres: https://i.imgur.com/y5BLXEK.jpg
I thought most everybody looked good. The roster is pretty much dwindled down to what we'll see in the regular season at this point. The stars were shining with Kessel scoring two goals in the first period. New guys Riikola and Jack Johnson looked solid and attentive. Sprong was up but he was the only player on the roster with a +/- below 0.
I hope I can find a way to watch games this year, this just sparked an interest in watching again after not having TV service for a few years now.
How are your Wings doing? Are they on a rebuild at this point?
The Pens have a solid team this year, they should do well.
The Wings have finally admitted they need to rebuild and they picked up a lot of great prospects over the summer. They still have a lot of bad contracts with mediocre players and not enough roster spots for the young players, but that should clear up in the next year or two.
If you aren't paying for a cable subscription, your best bet is going for the not so legal streaming sites. I recommend www.onhockey.tv
2-0 end of first, both by 2-time Stanley cup winner Phil Kessel.
