One evening young Mamie Doud went dancing with her Uncle Joel at a night spot in Denver. First they did waltzes and fox trots, but when the band began jazzing it up they got energetically into the spirit of things. Suddenly one of the uniformed attendants interrupted them.

”The management,” he told them, “requests that you dance a little less spectacularly.”
