If perfumed movies had any future, the speculation favored Mike Todd, Jr.’s Smell-O-Vision. Young Todd spent two million dollars on his picture Scent of Mystery (1960).
When the film was released, Henny Youngman gave it a two-line review: “I didn’t understand the picture,” he said. “I had a cold.”
