After heavy rain ponded parts of Oahu's H-1 Freeway on Sunday, HDOT Director Ed Sniffen promised Monday to roll out procedural and structural changes to prevent future flooding.

I don't even live there year-round and that only for a couple years and even I know that that project is long overdue. Don't you just despise politicians who wait to do something until there's no alternative but that and disaster?
