By the time you read this, I'll have written 200,000 words for the site...

200,000...

None of 'em are particularly good words, but there sure are a lot of 'em!

This article isn't much better. It's a bit of a celebration about the milestone and a short article 'cause I'm pretty much taking today off. After that many words, I'm gonna take a day off.

LOL Only about 0.5% of my traffic comes from Phuks. Still, I'm grateful for the two of you and the encouragement. I enjoy the comments people leave and I enjoy the writing effort.

So, by the time you read this, I'll have published a fucking ton of words.

I'm not yet out of stuff to say on this subject. It seems pretty likely that I'll keep smashing the keyboard until I run out of words.

That pretty much sums up the entire article. I pretty much phoned today's article in and I'm taking the day off. I didn't want to ruin my stretch of consecutive days.

You can read it, but that's actually about all that I said. I thanked you for reading and didn't even talk about music - not even a little.

I'm not even interested in playing guitar, I just enjoy your writing style and your stories.

Any chance of you starting a site about the chickens? Hahaha

LOL You're too kind! No, really... You're too kind!

If the missus were reading this, she'd say something like, "You really shouldn't encourage him."

Hmm... I'm not entirely sure that Phuks is the right kinda place to tell chicken stories. Chicken tales are best, I think, when they're used as a bludgeoning weapon. Sometimes, the moment is just right to smack someone in the face with a chicken story.

I'm not really sure that Phuk denizens deserve to be brutally attacked with chicken stories.

sighs

I do need to return to them and polish them up, as well as complete them. The chicken stories are not complete and they've not shown any indication that they're willing to complete the story. I don't really write the chicken stories so much as I observe them and share my observations.

And, really... Sometimes the missus is pretty wise! I probably shouldn't be encouraged!

I absolutely appreciate your readership, encouragement, compliments, and attention. I shan't even argue (much) about my writing style, although I'm not exactly sure what people like about it. I just pound the keyboard and words pop out the other side.

I'll also add that people have tried to explain what they like about my writing. So far, nobody has offered a very good explanation, but they tried!

Alas, they say that brevity is the soul of wit and my writing is probably best known for its verbosity. 'Snot really my fault - they make so many delightful words and my observations of reality defy simple descriptions. I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be held accountable for reality being so colorful. I didn't actually invent reality!

I'm pretty sure I have writing figured out. What I've not yet figured out is how to stop writing. It seems pretty likely that it's going to continue to be a problem!

Finally, I'm reminded of an author named Joseph Conrad. He'd sit alone and, not being a native English speaker, he'd sometimes labor over a single sentence for days. He'd spend days constructing just the right sentence, crafting each one into a an individual piece of art. Each sentence, each word, and every fragment was a deliberate attempt to create a piece of imagery and evoke thought.

Not me! I smash 'em into existence!

Best day ever!
