I can see that. Yeah. I'm stuck with thinking the pickup switch is in just about the stupidest possible spot to put it. I'm reaching down there to select switches by feel - I really don't want to have to content with also having to be careful to not adjust the pots.
I still wouldn't turn one down - but I don't own one and don't have any reason to seek it out.
