I have 5 birdhouses in my yard and have a lot of birds already, so I thought adding a bath would be a nice touch. I am a bit worried though because my neighbors have an outdoor cat that spends a lot of time in my yard and I don't know if the bath will become a buffet for him.

my neighbors who have a semi feral cat have a birdbath in their garden and i'm not aware of any problem although i've probably only ever seen birds in it twice so maybe the cats have scared the birds or the birds know from elsewhere that birdbaths arent safe, idk.

Maybe make some small hanging ones that the cat can't easily access? Take a wire flower pot hanger and hang a pot tray instead of a pot in it. It would also be beneficial to pollinators.
