Ramps are a wild onion that you can't supposedly transplant, but are a garlic/green onion sort of mix when it comes to smell at least. I'm going to pickle the rest of what I have tomorrow that my neighbor graciously gave me, unless someone gives me a better idea first. I was thinking to do a small jar of 2 hard boiled eggs with 4 ramp onion heads and vinegar/brine for my first fun jar, but not sure what to do with the rest. I'm up for anything you liddy boyz ;)

So they gave you their weeds?

Nah they found a patch out hunting and gave us a good spot to go if we want more. Yeah you could consider it a weed because you would feel like hell if you ate them raw, but they taste like strong garlic when cooked.

Any undesired plant is a weed. I have plants in my yard that the previous owners planted but I consider them to be weeds because I don't want them.
