Ferrets are very expensive pets

They are considered exotic pets but most owners don't think about the cost between the purchase price and the first vet bill.

My jills are in surgery today and the estimate is $800-$900. One is having her second Deslorelin implant and the other is having a mast removed from her noggin.

Last summer they got the flu (possibly deadly for ferts) and it was unimaginably expensive.

They are not cheap to purchase, but also keep in mind future expenses.

EDIT: Both are waking up and will be feeling groovy for a while, man.

I'll stick to dogs. they're expensive enough for me - LOL. Good luck with your pets though ... they do become part of the family.

I hear ya, but I just wouldn't feel right having a dog where I live. Maybe a ferret-sized dog, but not one I'm accustomed to.

Ferrets are illegal in his (former) home State of California.
