Friends and chosen family of the deceased can watch that laying-in process over a livestream — or, once coronavirus restrictions are lifted, in person. So far, about 30% of the bereaved have chosen that option, including the Bontrager family, who assembled a soundtrack of their mother’s favorite music. The final song, Charlotte Bontrager said, was “Under the Boardwalk” by the Drifters.

Recompose costs $5,500 for everything

I would far rather be buried in a simple thin pine box and let nature have its course over the years rather than be used like cow shit after I die.

That's a small price to pay to know that you're a hero saving the planet. Just think about great other people will think you are when they find out how much you care.

Interesting to me how much pollution a human produces when they are burned. https://cremationresearch.com/2021/01/21/cremation-limits-suspended-in-los-angeles-due-to-pandemic-backlog/

An air air pollution management company in Los Angeles County has quickly suspended limits on cremations to assist crematoriums with the “backlog” attributable to the COVID-19 pandemic.

I imagine that LA County's pollution protocols may be complex.
