Alright so start up for this isn't going to be cheap if you don't already have it, but hey tools and stuff so yay!

First thing you will need is a drill press and I suggest a press over just any old drill because it will cut straight and you won't have to worry about fucking it up.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/WEN-Drill-Press-with-Laser-10/22065277

This is the drill press I got and I got this one because it has more than enough RPM to do the milling which I want to try before I open the router. Being that it is a 10in rise I will have more than enough room to do everything I need.

This is the drill press vice I got.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/WEN-4-Inch-Cast-Iron-Drill-Press-Vise/49122136

You will likely need one of these as well. Just to hold that shit perfect because if it does try to walk you will fuck up the hole.

This is the router.

Now I might not need this, but better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it.

All of this was 229.55 shipped to my door. So got the power tools and now we need the bits.

This is where life got to be a bitch. You will need an end mill bit to cut away the excess material inside the well. These I have found are not something you can just go get at a hardware store. At least near where I am you can't.

This is the bits I got.

Now I also ordered another end mill bit on eBay for 13.00 but it won't be here till May as it comes from China. Also I don't trust Chinese steel, but well I got an extra.

Only a few more things to get for tools.....

You will need the wrench for the various shit on an AR

https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1019229363/ar-stoner-armorers-wrench-multi-tool-ar-15-steel-matte

That is the one I got.

Now you don't need this, but will make life easier in the long run.

https://www.midwayusa.com/product/101728952/wheeler-engineering-delta-series-ar-15-10-piece-roll-pin-installation-tool

Roll pin kit will make life so much easier later just trust me.

Now that is all the tools you will need for this. Told you it wasn't cheap.

Ok so now we go to the gun. For lowers you can get them from wherever you want. The link is where I got mine, and the ONLY reason I got them from here is because they were a closed trigger guard.

I ordered this. ENDED UP FILING A DISPUTE SO BEWARE OF ORDERING

http://www.80lower.org/80-Lower-Receiver-Jig-Kit-Combo-p/ufs_lower_jig_combo.htm

If you notice it came with the jig. This is important people you will need this period. Now there are many other options out there for a jig and you can get them elsewhere, but this came with it and it works so I am gonna try it and see if it works.

Then I ordered another lower in case I fuck up!

http://www.80lower.org/80-Lower-Receiver-p/ufs_lower_black.htm

These things will take a while to get too because they can't keep them in stock. I ordered mine last Monday and I still don't have it. Should be getting it by mid next week I was told.

Now for the upper. Again multiple options and sky is the limit, but with me I want shit cheap, but I want it good.

https://www.cbcindustries.com/products/ar-15-rifle-kit-16-5-56x45-upper-assembly-1-8-13-gen-2-bolt-carrier-group-charging-handle-ar-15-buttstock-kit-ar-15-lower-parts-kit

This is what I ended up getting and I got to say it is fucking top shelf shit. Completely assembled and gas key not needed. They adjust it before I leave so so I don't have to do shit with the upper.

It comes with all the needed lower parts as well, which I am sure I could have got anywhere, but I didn't have to because they included everything.

Shipping was fast too. Got it yesterday and ordered last Monday. May seem long, but remember they assembled and tested it before they shipped.

So other than that I got some optics being a holosight and magnifier. Those I got on clearance and you won't find them for cheap as I did because it was from Dick's and they are destroying what they don't sell so fuckem. I will use it.

Then I got 500 223 rounds and 6 mags from a site.

If you want pics of the upper and it's parts I can help you just leave a comment and what you want a picture of and I will get it.

Here are some places that sell milling tools (end mills, etc) without needing a business account:

https://www.mscdirect.com (expensive, but have tons--and I mean tons--of stuff)

http://www.carbidedepot.com/default.aspx

https://www.travers.com

Edit* https://www.grainger.com (might need a business account, I'm not sure)

Well shit I will keep this in case I need another. Thanks for this.

You're welcome. Barring problems, you should get decent life out of that carbide end mill in T6 aluminum.

Hope so, but like I said....this is my first time doing this, and I think the drill will have enough RPM that I won't need the router. Most of the material will be removed by the drill bits so it will just be to smooth it all out.

Grainger sells, at least some, items without a business account. A local Grainger store stocked batteries at website prices, which were good.

What is the difference between billet lowers and forged? The forged are much cheaper and I don't see the reason of milling being the reason for that because in most cases it is 2x difference.
