If I had a dollar for every smug "intellectual" explaining how Big Tech monopolies and censorship is ok because the 1st Amendment only applies to the government, I'd be far less upset about all this... as if a society with corporate oligopolies controlling what range of topics for discussion is acceptable will lead to any good outcome.

"The Free Market" was really a brilliant way to bypass that pesky constitution. We need a new Trust Buster to get into office, but sadly I do not see that happening anytime soon.

Suddenly those from the left are defending the virtues of the free market. Hypocrisy like this really exposes how spineless and unprincipled most people are.

Democrats: big corporations have too much power and create damage to society, so they should have their power limited--except when it's the media pushing our agenda or big tech censoring our political opponents.

Republicans: government spending and big deficits are a problem--except when we're in power, giving corporate handouts, or buying military gear

It doesn't matter if R's or D's are in power. The uniparty system just points the finger across the room to blame them for what they actually want to be doing. It gives people the false sense of choice. There really is only 1 party behind the scenes - what you vote for is specifically tailored to a narrow spectrum of politics that they allow you to debate. No party is going to run on auditing the federal reserve, breaking up tech monopolies or ending all foreign intervention. They all have too much to gain.
