I will say that beer and booze are an acquired taste - you can "train" your brain to like it, or at least not be revolted by it. At 19, bourbon and scotch were the most disgusting medicine flavored crap. But today, they taste like buttery or smoky candy.

I'm good with pretty much any alcohol, but have never acquired the taste for beer. Sad, since I have German in me - LOL.

Always been that way? So, first taste of whiskey was heaven at the first second of your (legal) birthday? Or did it "grow on you" so to speak?
I've always been a beer person myself as first choice. Bourbon/scotch second, wine third, everything else as a last resort.

Some people are just allergic to alcohol so the taste is just awful and they literally can't stomach it.
