I don't really get why the Reds wanted Bauer. I was half expecting them to trade him to the Yankees today.

The Indians did awesome for themselves. Has Calcaterra never heard of Clevinger or Bieber? Not to mention Kluber is expected back within the next 10 days or so, Salazar is going to be back too, but I don't think anyone is expecting much from him. Plesac and Plutko are doing well too.

You never want to lose starting pitching, but we needed offense badly. I'm glad to get something for Bauer that helps us this year since Bauer in all likelihood would have been traded in the off season anyways.

Tito said today that although "the throw" didn't factor into the trade, he thinks it was time for Bauer to move on and he was concerned that Bauer was "losing the clubhouse". Reading between the lines, the other players were getting sick of his shit. Additionally, Tito commented that over the seven years there were other things that happened that nobody knows about.

It will interesting to hear the stories come out over time.

P.S.

Licking bats is weird.

The throw just made it easier to pull the trigger. You seem to have got quality back.

I'm just sorry that you don't have any games against the Pirates coming up.

Green to the Braves and Castellanos to the Cubs. Sounds like we just got bodies back.

Nothing left to trade. If there's anything in the system, it's time to start seeing it.
