"Hey Dan and Keith, The Tribe is En Fuego!!...Sportscenter Next!!!"

That was the sign I held up in 1995 during a Sunday Night Baseball game at Jacobs Field for a Yanks _Tribe game. Yanks won, but Tribe had bases juiced in the 6th, Thome at the plate, and he hit a towering shot to the warning track, caught by RF with back to the wall. 5 more feet, and BEDLAM!

That year, you couldn't get tickets to a game unless you knew someone, but we worked at a grocery chain, and we were given the tickets on Sunday AM by the Coca-Cola vendor whose clients backed out when game changed from afternoon to night.

We got on National ESPN TV during the intro, but our asshole roommate whose ONLY JOB was to hit "record on the TV at 10:15PM and let it run, decided to put in a unrewinded tape, so that it only recorded about 18 minutes, meaning that when the 11PM Sportscenter started, the recording was done.

Lesson - never entrust rewinding responsibilities of VHS tapes to lazy asshole roommates. Do it yourself!

Awesome game. We had it on the radio while we were sailing on beautiful Lake Erie.

Was happy to get that last one against the Yankees. Beating them is always feels better than anyone else.

I was really worried when Edwin got drilled on the hand. Glad he is okay.

I was watching the night before w/ the Romine HR. Nice bounce back to split the series.
