Isn't it weird that some writers state something "just" happened when it occurred two days before they found out about it and then wrote it up. Why don't they say "I just found out". More honest, but not clickbaitey enough it seems.

They're reporters, not nerds. They scrape among possible news sources every few days and look for something worthy of a story. It's not that they are actuslly interested in astronomy.

That's not reporting news or facts. It's tabloid level where emotions are clicked on using hte writers first words. This just happened. Oooh, It much be important, even if it's already old news.

Yes, unfortunately that's how most news are today. If it's not clickbaity enough it doesn't pay for someone to write an article.

Sometimes I forget that it is still active up there. It's amazing it has been operational for so long.
