If Hank Hill uses propane for his stove, dryer and heat, then why don't we see a propane tank sitting somewhere on the property?
Edit: Maybe his subdivision has it piped to them? But I honestly don't believe that everyone on Rainey Street agreed to pay for it when natural gas is a lot more affordable.
It could only be that bush if the tank is under a 125lb capacity, and 10ft away from any appliance ventilation.
But wouldn't a propane enthusiast want to display his clean burning fuel proudly for all to see?
i dont think daily propane delivery is out of the question for hank, i bet his house is the first stop joe jack has to make every day. also, i imagine having a tank is against the block charter and hank wouldn't want to start changing the rules just because he's block captain.

I guess. But those require more maintenance than above ground tanks, are more expensive to install and are usually only meant for colder climates. Plus, in the episode "Arrow Head" an archeologist digs up their lawn and is driving heavy machinery all over the property. You can't have vehicles driving on an underground propane tank.
I just don't buy the underground tank theory.
Basement/crawlspace/garage.
When I was looking to buy a house, I viewed a house where it was in the garage.
I have never seen one in the garage, and in the episode where Dale digs a tunnel under Hank's house, he doesn't have a basement and it doesn't look like there is one in his crawlspace. But I suppose the crawlspace would be the last possible place it could be.
He always talks about using propane, and uses a propane stove in the early seasons, however, in season 7 episode 7 Texas Skillsaw Massacre he is seen cooking breakfast on an electric stove top. What a fucking hypocrite.
Well, do you blame Hank for that or do you blame lazy outsourced animators and storyboard artists who have no attachment to the characters they are animating?

alright, here's my best guess:
I postulate that this was a clever feint by Hank to throw us all off the fact that Hank's propane tank is camouflaged as something in his yard (perhaps this plays into the real reason why he is always doing yard work). My best guess upon further review is that Hank's tank is, in fact, disguised as THIS BUSH HERE. This may also play into Hank's dedication to the heart of what Peggy likes to call Bush Country.
