I noticed sl.img went down. This is going to be a big problem for Voat if it doesn't reappear, because now the vast majority of image posts are going to be dead links, just like the last time slimgur went down.

I use imgur pretty much exclusively. It is fast, has drag and drop, and you can make albums easily. Some people are not keen on it because they take stuff down sometimes, and they are associated with Reddit, but I have never had any issues with my stuff being taken down before.

Are there any decent alternatives? Should we even be adopting an alternative in the first place? It might be better if everyone is using different hosting sites so we don't have a ton of dead posts if the site we're all using goes down.

I can only think of a couple of ok ones but neither of them have the option for creating albums or drag and drop.

I like catbox but it has no options for creating albums. Imgflip is for memes, tinypic and imgtc don't have drag and drop.

There's also this one that I don't mind, but still has no albums.

yeeeeah... this is one bitch of a problem for me now. /s/FishnChicks is worthless right now. sli.mg had been reliable for a year or two so I started using it heavily. Fuck.

I'm going to assume that they stopped paying for it. They haven't been active on Voat for months. It isn't a huge surprise to be honest, it's not like donations would be able to cover the costs.

Dude you think yours is bad look at what I did for voats cyoa and the css on Stargate. I have probably 580 image posts their to sli.mg, and all my css relies on them.

I've put some pretty fucked up shit on imgur, never had anything taken down.

I like it because I can easily upload with a bash script, which puts the link in my clipboard so then I simply center click to post a link.

I stick with what works.
