I agree. I didn't intend to watch it. I thought it was going to be preachy and filled with politics. But there was very little other than a 'racism=bad' theme.
The setting was very interesting. Like AD&D meets a dystopian near future.
And like many of Wills past movies, he has some great comedic moments.
Throw Mama from the Train is a highly underrated 80s comedy. I rewatched it recently and it stands up to still be a hilarious movie.
The Friday series is pretty good. On a similar note, "Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the hood" is a quality film as well.
I recently rewatched The Way, Way Back
I don't think it made a very big splash when it came out. A underrated coming of age story with a surprising cast.
I really really like Robot. It's a production from India but damn it was a good funny sci fi.
edit: here's the trailer
Do you mean this one? There's so many movies with similar titles, it's hard to know.
event horizon

There are some really good South Korean films that aren't really watched in western countries, even though some of our films are based on them. The Departed, for example, was originally a SK film.
The Host only has a 7 rating on IMDB. Whilst the special effects are pretty bad, it is still one of my favourite films because it has a bizarre mixture of slapstick comedy and a weird horror element.
