i've heard such people usually go to bars and have a surprisingly good time but that may just be because the bar culture is strong here.

This was my suggestion. A bar. People at a bar on Christmas are all looking for the same thing...a little company.

I lived in 8 cities in 10 years. The local (non-chain) bars and restaurants are usually pretty friendly. Movie theaters sometimes do special showings of old classics. Smaller towns often have a downtown area that has lights and local businesses that stay open late.

Checkout some of the local restaurants and see if they have a special Christmas dinner/brunch thing going. If they do, treat yourself to a good meal in a great settling. It used to be that up scale restaurants did super holiday buffets and such.

That bares looking into especially with large amounts of weed!

When my kids were little, it was fun to take them to those fancy holiday Christmas buffets. The whole family enjoyed, it gave the wife a day off, too, and a good time was had by all. It might be a little awkward going alone, but they have small tables, too, and ya get a bit of holiday cheer.

You could troll certain people on other sites. They don't have friends or family near them, either. No one will ever like them.

That sounds super depressing to do on Christmas.

A lot of things do. Being apart of friends and family during the holidays sucks ass.

For many years I've wondered what it'd be like to hike off somewhere deserted and beautiful and camp alone for a night or two for New Year's day. Never did it, and it's getting less likely now.

Escaping all the evil commercial bullshit that comes with Christmas sounds kind of appealing, especially from my point of view as someone who still has presents to buy.
