Those phuks celebrating Christmas are you putting up a real or fake tree?

How do you decorate? One color of lights? Tinsel? Do you theme your tree?

one time when i was a kid we used tinsel. i will never make that mistake. sometimes i'll put out a little 2 foot tree that is older than me but usually my only christmas-y decoration are my classy year-round indoor christmas lights.

Year round Christmas lights, you are classy!

My mom did tinsel one year, took three years to clean it up. As an adult I refuse to add tinsel.

My wife would prefer a real tree, but the traditional kind of Christmas tree doesn't grow around here, so it's pricey to get one. We use a fake one, both for money and ease of use. I'll light it up later tonight and post a picture.

Our lights on the tree itself are primary just normal light, not red or green. We don't typically decorate the house. We have a little mat we lay out under the tree, and have simple red and gold ornaments and some kinda cloth bits as well - it's kinda like lace, I guess.

Location plays a big part in the real or fake tree decision.

If you have extra storage, you can wrap your tree in plastic for easy clean up and reuse for next year.

I like gold for Christmas decorations. Gives a regal flair to the tree.

I've had a little fake one for years, but I'm considering a mid size real one for my new place.

I usually keep my tree clean, a few small ornaments and some solid white lights.

Never underestimate the beauty of simplicity. A clean tree with white lights sounds pretty.

I do multicolored lights, I love lots of color.

Nothing beats the smell of a real tree, except the convenience of cleaning up a fake one.
I get the best results by putting up a small, but real tree (branch).

It doesn't usually survive the cats, but that's part of the fun.

The smell of a real tree beats all the inconveniences it brings.

I saw some tiny 2 foot tall real trees for sale at the grocery store. I think I'm going to grab one of those and see how long it survives the cats. No decorations because of cats.

I'd but it right now, but my place is getting fumigated for termites tomorrow and I didn't want it to die.
