Also, fuck /r/askreddit.

I sense a story behind that statement.
I believe so, although I do not know that for certain. I imagine it would be more of an issue now, with cable companies (like Cox) offering internet service also being in direct competition to streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. There is an obvious conflict on interest going on there. I would not be stunned to see that going on after this gets changed (as it appears it will).

Not much of a story. I'm sure you've experienced similar situations on that shit site. The sub has a litany of ridiculous rules, and the mods are immature twats with too much power.
Asked a simple fucking question, added text to textbox to elaborate. Got a message post is deleted for using the text box. Fine, whatever, stupid rule. Repost the question, leaving text box empty, get the annoying "wait 7 minutes" bullshit. Eventually allowed to submit, post is blocked. Wait a while, try again. Same. Message mods, why you blocking my posts. cryptic reply "are you breaking rules?" Explain what happened, get message back "See rule 3".
For fucks sake. They should call it /r/wasteanhourtryingtogetasimplefuckinganswertoasimplefuckingquestionandfail
Go to /r/technology, ask the question and get another god damn autobot message. "too many net neutrality questions, fuck off"
Fucking hate reddit bots.
Anyway, ya I seem to recall some companies getting caught doing shenanigans prior to NN, just can't recall who/what..
I was hoping to find someone who remembers some specifics I could cite to the morons over on /v/technology. Apparently a lot of voaters are ok with the rollback.
Sadly, as you're probably aware, many over there think Trump can never be wrong and will blindly follow him off a cliff, no matter how demonstrably stupid. Also their are some whose logic goes like, " well if reddit wants it, it has to be bad, facts be damned."
Voat is such a disappointment.

You don't say? /s

Yeah, that kind of mindset is always bad. It's really easy to fall into, too, making it even more insidious.

(nod nod)
Remember paid "fast lanes"? Netflix paid Comcast for "preferred access" and was very open about it.
