Anyone have a rice cooker? Is there anything I need to know about brands or well anything before buying one?

I bought a slow cooker recipe book and a lot of the recipes go over rice. The few times I have made rice was a fucking failure.

Just buy a steamer. It works for rice and vegetables

I've cooked with one. There's nothing to know, they're simple.

Rice can be done nicely in a microwave.

I have a rice cooker and a special microwave container for doing rice and the rice comes out the same, but is easier to do in the microwave thing.

Rice-cooker rice tastes better than prepared in other way. Just do not skimp on the brand.
