I could relate parts of Stand Alone Complex to a lot. They tried to fit into the movie certain scenes and Scarlett Jo did a good job and was well casted. I know it doesn't fit the anime but they put a lot of effort into this IRL abridge. How'd you guys feel about it?

I always get a weird feeling watching a real life adaptation of an animated series for the first time, but after watching a few times, I started liking it. it's hard to get used to a real version after so many hours of character development. as a long time gits fan, I like it.

edit: I'm still getting used to the people, but I really enjoyed the city and think they really did a good job there too

wasn't the river scene and her losing her arm pulling on the spider tank really reassuring? I wish DBZ could have done the same... I know they changed why it happened and all but it was really nice seeing a good effort towards the anime.

I enjoyed it, it wasn't the anime but that was ok, I liked seeing the diving scene, they did well with that. I was ok with her not being an asian actress too cause the shell they put her in was built to sell (in the long term dev and marketing of such devices).
