I've never understood reptilian pets.
They don't really show emotion do they?

Can you bond with a snake?

They don't really bond on an emotional level and aren't capable of it. It's not so much that they don't show emotion as that they cannot feel emotions. They're very base instinct.

Happy, angry, scared, hungry. That's her emotional range.

Since they have two real categories of other animals: those they want to eat, and those that will eat them, the fact that snek recognizes me as neither is all the bonding that will ever happen.

Did you know that in some primitive cultures, snakes were thought to symbolize fertility? Some tribes practiced the ritual of sticking a live, non-venomous snake up a woman's snatch before she tried to get pregnant.

Is it cuddly?

Snek cuddles you. Snek does not like you to cuddle it.

That is what is to have a constrictor.

Do you feel like he likes yo more than other people?

[–] heili [OP] 1 points (+1|-0) 9 years ago

They don't really like anyone, but she is less afraid of me than she is of other big creatures that can pick her up.

I got her in November 2015.

She gets offered a rat every 8 days, although sometimes she will not be hungry and go 2 or 3 weeks without eating.

How long have you had her and how often do you feed it? Also, what do you feed it?
