I've been a voat user for close to two years (under a different name of course) and for several months have been wondering what is going on with the site. I'm not in the "inner circle" or a mod or anything; nor am I a programmer that could possibly "look under the hood" so to speak.
But I have had fun on the Voat- being able to vent my spleen and read some pretty interesting items has made it well worth my while.
OTOH....I never quite understood the "canary" concept until just recently. Voat's canary has been mia for quite some time...and if my understanding of canary is correct, that is not a good thing.
I haven't left the site yet, but I am planning to- at least for now.
