It is if the state law says that you are required to show ID when required by police and you refuse. It's called a "Stop and ID" law.

So even with "Stop and ID" laws they have to have "reasonable suspicion", the article is specifically addressing the idea of requiring regular citizens to show ID without any suspicion of criminal activity.

A person suspected of criminal behavior and ask for identification. Failure by the person stopped to respond is a violation of the law and can lead to arrest and charges.

And for those to lazy/stupid to research https://www.criminaldefenselawyer.com/crime-penalties/federal/Failure-identify-police-officer.htm

A person suspected of criminal behavior and ask for identification

So key difference here, discussed in the article, is that the article specifically refers to persons not suspected of criminal behavior, just regular citizens.

As I said A person suspected of criminal behavior, now how does a cop rule out suspects if they don't gather information. I would rather have a police state than say https://files.catbox.moe/s4pnsm.mp4 or say https://www.youtube.comwatch?v=XYsiyDs9jFQ.

I apologize, I missed the "A person suspected of criminal behavior ", I had just gotten home from work.

The site indeed is fine with adblock and other basic addons. In fact it's actually really crisp and cleaner than most news sites; news sites tend to be the very worst with bloat. I'm curious, why don't you use these? The web would be a hellish experience in my opinion without it.
