When I to go a website to read some journal article and a 1.5inch video in the corner of the screen plays a video advertisement at full volume about something I'd never be interested in, I immediately have this huge urge to spend $$ on the product.

Anyone else?

I wrote a script to auto-buy whatever is in those adverts.

You should probably look into Scientology, I think you'd be a natural for it. As for me, I use the Brave browser and so I'm not bothered by ads targeted to idiots. I would totally ignore any such ad even if I did see it.

I might look into it, the more you pay the deeper you get into it. If I pay for a decade I can learn about the spirits in volcanos thingie.

Me too, and an uncontrollable urge to go to that site again and again for more thrills.

Seriously though, Waterfox with μBlock Origen. That crap is just a memory of a nuisance now.

Also, fuck the website devs who put that shit on the site, then do viral marketing and seo shit to suck people onto the page, which is usually eitther content-free or 100% copy-paste from an actual brain which originates and contributes, but doesn't do all the traffic directing shit to get listed high on google.
