So to recap, I installed the new graphics card and after hooking everything back up I got no signal to my new monitor.

In the meantime I've learned a lot about cables and ports. Including DVA, DVI-I, DVI-D.

Due to my new card not accepting DVA, I grabbed my "new" second hand monitor my gf bought me.

Today, after reinstalling my old card and hooking it all back up.

Still no connection.

Okay, try my gfs monitor because she has ports for both. And it connects no problem.

So to recap, i have no idea if my computer accepted the new card or not. Because the monitor was faulty.

But i figure if I'm gonna do it all again anyway, might as well fix the driver issue now.

So tomorrow I get to learn how to go about accomplishing that.

Thank you @scorpioglitch for the advice

Just for kicks, see if you can plug your old monitor into your girlfriend's computer.

I might just give that a shot.

If it still doesn't work. I plan on personally upgrading it with a few new cooling holes with my rifle.

I always threaten my PC with the dishwasher if it doesn't behave. Usually straightens it right out.
